What Lymphatic Specialists of Madison Needed
Lymphatic Specialists of Madison treats patients recovering from surgery and living with conditions like lymphedema and lipedema. Many of them find the clinic through a search or a surgeon's referral, often at a stressful time.
The old site didn't reflect the quality of that care. It had to help those patients find the right service quickly and arrive with their paperwork done, and it had to let the clinic keep its own services, team, and blog up to date.
What I Built
Paperwork done before the first visit. New patients fill out their intake online before they arrive, from an emergency contact to a medical history organized by body system. The clinic gets a notification when a form comes in, and the patient gets a confirmation.
A page for every service. Manual lymphatic drainage, pre- and post-surgical care, and therapeutic bodywork each have their own page, so each one can show up for the searches patients actually make.
A site the staff keep current. I built it on Astro and Sanity, with an editor arranged around what staff change most: services, team bios, FAQs, and blog posts.
One record per person. Intake forms, contact messages, and newsletter signups are all linked to the same person by email, so the clinic sees a patient's history in one place.
Spam protection without puzzles. The forms check for bots in the background with ALTCHA. Patients never solve a CAPTCHA.
How It Turned Out
New patients now complete their intake before they arrive, and the clinic keeps its services, team, and blog up to date without me.
I still maintain the site and add new features as the clinic grows.
